Why RupeeScout exists
Most Indians learn about money too late – or from the wrong sources.
We started RupeeScout because personal finance in India is full of jargon, conflict of interest, and advice that doesn’t account for how real Indian families actually live. Between GST confusion, ITR anxiety, and a flood of “guaranteed returns” schemes, it’s hard to know who to trust.
RupeeScout exists to change that.
What we do
We write honest, plain-English guides on everything money-related in India – from filing your first ITR to picking a demat account, from understanding SIPs to decoding GST for your small business.
Every article on RupeeScout is:
- Researched – we dig into the actual rules, not just repeat what others say
- India-specific – no generic Western advice that doesn’t apply here
- Jargon-free – if we can’t explain it simply, we don’t publish it
- Independent – we’re not paid to recommend anything; where we earn affiliate commissions, we disclose it clearly
Who writes here
RupeeScout is written by finance professionals with hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, and financial planning. We’ve seen the mistakes people make up close – and we write to help you avoid them.
Our promise
We will never recommend a financial product we wouldn’t use ourselves. We will always disclose when we earn a commission. And we will always prioritise your financial wellbeing over our revenue.
Welcome to RupeeScout. Let’s make smarter money moves together.
